Blaine’s Bulletin: The GOP Sweep is Already Delivering

Last month, voters across the nation went to the polls to reject the increasingly radical Democratic Party and usher in an America First agenda. Collectively as a country, we said “no” to liberals’ woke division, irresponsible spending, sheepish foreign policy, and weak national security. Even with majorities in the House and Senate and President Trump back in office, Republicans will have their work cut out for them fixing everything President Biden, Vice President Harris, and their Far-Left colleagues broke over the past four years. However, as the 119th Congress gears up for another go, we’re already seeing positive global impact just in anticipation for the United States’ new direction.

Following election day, the U.S. dollar has been on a tear, trouncing rival currencies like the euro and Chinese yuan. Maintaining our dollar as the world’s reserve currency is critical to curtailing the influence of hostile dictatorships, especially China. As I’ve said before, the Chinese Communist Party is carrying out a deliberate and devious plan to supplant the United States as the world’s leading superpower. Whereas the Democrat strategy has been one of appeasement, President Trump offered a blatant warning last weekend to crack down on trade with any nation looking to undermine the US dollar.

President Trump’s policies may intentionally and temporarily lower the dollar’s value to attract favorable trade, but anticipation for his America First policies have sent it skyrocketing, reflecting the global reaction to our change in leadership. As Biden wrings out the last of his presidential privileges by pardoning his son’s crimes, President Trump is meeting with foreign leaders eager to be on America’s good side and aware that their days of taking our nation for granted are soon over.

Canada’s Prime Minister and regular U.S. critic Justin Trudeau recently traveled to Mar-a-Lago to plead his case against Trump’s tariff threat. French President Emmanuel Macron invited Trump, not Biden, to the ceremonial reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral.

Elsewhere, Republicans are gaining ground in areas previously dominated by Democrats. Despite shelling out $1 billion more on campaigns, the Far-Left lost seats in the House and saw eight districts flip from blue to red.

While the progress toward sanity is clear, I’d be lying if I said the madness of politics and Washington are over. President Trump and all Republicans will face an uphill battle pushing back against woke extremism, reeling in out-of-control spending, and restoring peace through strength. I’m hopeful it will get done, but we must reject the appeal of immediate gratification and focus on building a better America for generations to come.
