Blaine’s Bulletin – Easter

Mathew 28:6: He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.”

It’s Good Friday which means Easter is upon us. Easter marks the most sacred time of the year for Christians, a time we take for self-reflection, devotion, and dedication to our faith.

Each year, Easter holds a special place in my heart. It's a holiday filled with happiness, renewal, and cherished moments spent with my family, here in Missouri. For many of you, it's a time to gather with family and friends to reflect on the blessings in your lives, and to celebrate the joy of new beginnings.

In our home, Easter is a time for family traditions and creating lasting memories. From Easter egg hunts to enjoying a delicious meal together after a beautiful church service, it's a day we look forward to each year. Seeing the smiles on my grandchildren's faces as they search for colorful eggs brings me immense joy, reminding me of the simple pleasures in life.

Of course, we always start the day honoring the lessons of Easter. Our Lord and Savior died on the cross for our sins before his resurrection three days later. It is the ultimate act of love and example of hope on which we as Christians base our lives. We live with eternal gratitude for Jesus’s love and strive to live a life worthy of sacrifice.

I’m incredibly blessed to have such a loving family and the opportunity to serve Missouri’s Third District. Representing you in Congress is the honor of a lifetime and I am grateful for the trust you have placed in me to advocate for you and your family.

As you gather with loved ones this Easter, whether enjoying a traditional feast or a simple meal, take a moment to express gratitude to those around you. A few words of appreciation can brighten someone's day and strengthen the bonds of family and community.

From my family to yours, I wish you a blessed and very happy Easter.
