Luetkemeyer Now Taking Service Academy Applications

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The office of Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) has officially opened its application process for the United States Military Service Academies for the Class of 2028. Congressman Luetkemeyer is able to nominate exemplary students from Missouri’s Third District to attend the U.S. Military Service Academies, including the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

“Attending one of our nation’s Military Service Academies allows students to receive a high-quality education while also serving our nation. Each year, I’m very honored to play a role in helping provide this unique opportunity to another class of hardworking students from the Third District,” said Luetkemeyer. “I look forward to sending some more of the Third District’s finest students to these academies.” 

The four United States Service Academies accepting Congressional nominations are West Point in New York (Army), the U.S. Naval Academy in Maryland (Navy and Marine Corps), the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado (Air Force), and the Merchant Marine Academy in New York (Merchant Marine). The U.S. Coast Guard Academy does not accept Congressional nominations, but the Luetkemeyer office can provide information.

The acceptance process includes a formal application and interview with a panel of community volunteers from the district that have been selected by Congressman Luetkemeyer. Nominations are forwarded to the respective academies which will notify students if they have been accepted.
