WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, in a House Financial Services Committee hearing entitled, “Investigating the Collapse of FTX, Part I,” Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) questioned FTX Group CEO, John J. Ray III about the cryptocurrency exchange’s dramatic collapse.

Luetkemeyer: “Is there money laundering going on here? Are there some missing dollars? Is somebody stuffing away something in their back pocket? It begs a lot of questions here when you see this kind of activity.”

Ray: “There’s a lot more questions than there are answers and it’s certainly highly irregular. And that’s what’s gotten our attention.”
