Luetkemeyer Cosponsors Resolution Honoring Lives of Fallen Missouri Police Officers

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) cosponsored Congresswoman Vicki Hartzler (MO-04)’s House resolution to honor the lives of three Missouri law enforcement officers whose lives were lost in the line of duty in March.

“Every day across our state, Missouri law enforcement officers show up to put the safety of our communities above their own. These officers gave their lives protecting their fellow Missourians and we will never be able to adequately thank their families for all they have sacrificed. This bill will serve as a permanent reminder of the service and bravery of Patrolman Lane Anthony Burns, Police Officer Jake Alexander Reed and Corporal Benjamin Lee Cooper,” said Luetkemeyer.

“Losing three law enforcement officers in a span of 20 days - just in Missouri - is an absolutely unacceptable statistic. These Missourians put their lives on the line every day, and I will continue doing everything in my power to protect the courageous people who protect us.”
