Luetkemeyer on Passage of the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act
Washington,
April 23, 2020
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) released the following statement regarding bicameral passage of the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act, which will provide $310 billion for the Paycheck Protection Program and $100 billion for our nation’s medical community. “Since the Paycheck Protection Program was established at the end of March, 769,000 jobs in Missouri have been supported by the program, and the bipartisan Joint Economic Committee estimates the passage of this bill will support another 696,000 jobs in our state. While this bill should have been passed over a week ago, the funding will save jobs and, more importantly, lives across America. I was proud to vote in support of our medical professionals, first responders, and small businesses.” |
