Luetkemeyer Congratulates Festus High School Rocket Club on First Place Win

U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) is pleased to announce the Festus High School Rocket Club won first place at the International Paris Air Show.

 U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) is pleased to announce the Festus High School Rocket Club won first place at the International Paris Air Show.

The Festus High School team represented the U.S. and competed against other teams from the United Kingdom, France, and Japan.

“These bright young students from Festus High School have made Missouri, and America, incredibly proud by bringing home a first place win at the International Rocketry Challenge,” Luetkemeyer said.

The Festus Rocket Club includes: Grace Basler; Ed Bohnert; Cydney Breier; Ryan Brown; Christopher Carden; Ashton Croft; Joel Marler; Rylie Martin; Jacob Rozner; and Timothy Ruesche.

The Team America Rocket Challenge is the world’s largest student rocket contest and is important to the aerospace and defense industry’s strategy to build a stronger U.S. workforce in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. There are approximately 5,000 students on nearly 1,000 teams from across the U.S. that participates each year.
