Luetkemeyer Supports House Efforts to Tackle the Opioid Crisis

Over the next two weeks, the U.S. House of Representatives will consider dozens of bills to combat the opioid crisis. Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) released the following statement after the House passed more than twenty bills to tackle the opioid crisis:

“One in three Missouri families are affected by the opioid crisis and 115 Americans lose their lives to opioid overdoses each day. This is as staggering as it is heartbreaking,” said Congressman Luetkemeyer. “I was proud to support today’s legislation to help our nation fight back against this crisis. Today, we have taken a huge step towards solving this epidemic, but our work is not yet done. We have a responsibility to get this problem under control, and I will continue to fight until we find a solution.”
