U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) issued the following statement after President Trump made an announcement today on the importance in investing in our nation’s water infrastructure:

“I am encouraged to hear President Trump highlight the need to invest in the nation’s water infrastructure which is so critical to Missouri and the 3^rd District,” Luetkemeyer said. “In 2015, 72 percent of United States agricultural exports and 71 percent of imports were waterborne and with much of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers in the 3^rd District, I know just how important it is to invest and care for our inland waterways. Investment in our water infrastructure system is vital and I am encouraged to work with the President and the administration to ensure America continues to lead the country in feeding the world.”
