The following is a statement from U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) after voting in support of construction of the Keystone pipeline:

“Today, the House once again passed legislation that would make the Keystone XL pipeline a reality. Construction of the pipeline would bring much needed jobs to our nation and the reduction of our dependence on foreign oil would jump-start our economy. Unfortunately, the administration has already issued a veto threat regarding Keystone. After 2,303 days of the American people waiting for action, it is my hope the Senate will swiftly pass this legislation and the president will acknowledge that constructing the Keystone XL pipeline is a priority of the American people by signing this bill into law.”
