U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-3) issued the following statement after the president today announced a so-called administrative fix to Obamacare: “Four years after first promising hard-working Americans they would be able to keep their health care and their doctors, the president has offered an administrative fix that falls short of offering a long-term solution to the health care crisis confronting the nation. In order to repair the serious damage already inflicted by Obamacare, we must change this law through the legislative process, and that is why I plan to vote tomorrow for the Keep Your Health Plan Act. This bill would allow health plans currently available on the individual market to continue next year, providing Americans the opportunity to continue to enroll in the plans that they currently enjoy. We cannot count on another presidential promise to undo the damage to our health care system, but instead must allow the elected representatives of the American people to do that.” |
