Multiple Third District Priorities Included in 2020 WRDA

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) released the following statement regarding Congressional passage of the 2020 Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) which includes several Third District priorities.

"Every two years, Congress is tasked with ensuring America’s water resource infrastructure capabilities are maximized to benefit the communities they serve. With the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers bordering our district, our area plays a particularly important role in the nation’s water infrastructure. We also see more than our fair share of flooding and water issues. I’m proud that this year’s WRDA includes numerous provisions designed to safeguard Missouri’s Third District like the authorization of the Upper Mississippi River Comprehensive Plan, the Lower Missouri Basin Flood Risk and Resiliency Study, and the Lower Osage Feasibility Study.”
