Last week, the House passed the Frank LoBiondo Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2018, which includes language allowing the Delta Queen steamboat to return to Missouri’s rivers. Today, Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) joined President Trump at the bill signing ceremony and released the following statement:

“Today’s bill signing is the culmination of years of hard work and bipartisan, bicameral cooperation to preserve a piece of American history. It was an honor to stand alongside my colleagues as President Trump signed legislation to provide the United States Coast Guard with resources to support its mission and a critical exemption for the Delta Queen. Missourians across the state are thankful for President Trump’s actions to spur economic growth along Missouri’s riverbanks and safeguard the Delta Queen’s storied history by returning her to our rivers.”
