Today the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 5444, the Taxpayers First Act, and H.R. 5445, the 21^st Century IRS Act. Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) released the following statement after House passage of H.R. 5444 and H.R. 5445:

“Now that we’ve updated our tax code, it is time to update the IRS. American taxpayers should feel confident that the IRS is protecting their identity and keeping their personal financial information safe. I was proud to support these important bills to put taxpayers first.”
