Luetkemeyer Hosts South Korea Ambassador at Westminster College

At an event at Westminster College, U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) and Ambassador Ahn Ho-Young spoke about the importance of the U.S. –South Korea strategic security alliance.

Luetkemeyer and Ambassador Ahn were at the Korea Economic Institute event held in Fulton on the Westminster College campus. The focus of the event was to discuss national security and the relationship between the U.S. and South Korea.

“It was truly an honor to address the attendees at the event and to speak with Ambassador Ahn about the shared priorities of our two countries,” Luetkemeyer said. “This year marks the 63rd anniversary of the U.S. – Republic of Korea Mutual Defense Treaty which is evident that the security alliance counts as one of our nation’s most important international relationships. I hope Ambassador Ahn enjoys his time in the city of Fulton and I look forward to further developing Missouri’s relationship with him and the Republic of Korea.”

Ambassador Ahn is the Republic of Korea’s Ambassador to the United States, currently serving his third posting.
