Luetkemeyer Votes in Favor of Bills Delaying Obamacare Mandates

U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-3) today issued the following statement after voting in favor of the Authority for Mandate Delay Act (H.R. 2667) that would delay the employer mandate in Obamacare and the Fairness for American Families Act (H.R. 2668) that would delay the Obamacare individual mandate.

“The president’s recent decision to put the employer mandate on hold makes it clear that this law is an oppressive failure that even the president and his allies cannot hide from,” Luetkemeyer said. It is more clear now than ever that the time to delay implementation of the employer and individual mandates is today. As a longtime opponent of Obamacare who has voted numerous times to defund and repeal the law, I remain committed to delaying and ultimately dismantling this law so we can free Americans from its taxes and overlyburdensome requirements and begin considering responsible, patient-centered health-care reform alternatives.”
