U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-3) today voted in support of legislation that would designate the new Interstate 70 bridge, which will connect St. Louis to southwestern Illinois, as the “Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge.”

“As a staunch supporter of our nation’s veterans and a lifelong Stan Musial fan, I am honored that my House colleagues passed this legislation in remembrance of our veterans and one of St. Louis’s baseball greats,” Luetkemeyer said. “Watching Stan Musial play baseball was always one of the highlights of the summer and I’m glad the House was able to honor his legacy and commitment to the people of the St. Louis area.”

Luetkemeyer is a co-sponsor of this legislation (H.R. 2383) that was introduced by Rep. Rodney Davis (R-IL). The Senate is expected to soon pass the House measure.
